A recipe you will LOVE! Here at Sansara, we’re proud to source local and organic ingredients from our community to provide clean and healthy meals to our guests. Each dish is made with love and care!

Recipe of the Month: Falafel Bowl
Simple. Healthy. Nourishing.
Ingredients

  • Hummus
  • Marinated Olives
  • Green Tabouleh or Quinoa
  • Pita Bread
  • Falafel (Chickpeas, onion, cilantro, garlic, cumin powder, cilantro powder, black pepper, baking soda, chickpea flour, parsley)
  • Pickled Cabbage

First, prepare the falafel by boiling the chickpeas until softened. Place the chickpeas in the blender with the remaining ingredients. Blend well. Place the falafel dough in the fridge for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, form small falafel balls and either pan fry, air fry or bake until golden brown. Place all ingredients in a bowl together, topping with pickled cabbage and enjoy!

Yoga Pro Tips by Kate

Stay for one more breath.
Early in my yoga journey a teacher said to me, “Kate, yoga should feel like you”. At that time, I wasn’t sure who I was or what that meant. So she followed that up with suggesting I take one more breath each time I think the pose is over or my mind tells me to come out of the pose. That it was in that one extra pause in each pose day after day that I would discover what it meant to be Kate. Through this I learned discipline, I learned grace, I met my frustrations, my strength, my softness and everything in between. It was in the extra breath I discovered that the poses were just a gateway to myself. So, just when you think the pose is over – it has just begun, take one more breath.

Surf Pro Tips by Jason

The Breakt Matters.
Be sure to pick the right surf spot for your ability level. Not all spots are equal and the way in which the waves break can vary greatly. I see a lot of people struggling to surf just because the wave at that spot is not suitable for their level. It’s good to find the right spot that’s going to allow you to do the surfing that suits you. If you’re arriving to a new town or area – never hesitate to talk to a local surf shop or instructor to find out where to go! Yeeew!
